#العقل هو أداة الإدراك والفهم، به نميز بين الحق والباطل، وبه نتجاوز حدود الغريزة إلى رحاب الحكمة.

لكنه في ذات الوقت، ليس سوى مرآة تنعكس فيها النفس، فإن كانت النفس مظلمة، انحرف العقل؛ وإن كانت نقية، صار العقل بوابة النور.

الفلاسفة اختلفوا في جوهر العقل:

فـأرسطو رآه جوهرًا مفكرًا، مستقلًا عن الجسد،

وديكارت جعله أساس الوجود: “أنا أفكر، إذن أنا موجود”،

أما الغزالي فاعتبر أن العقل وحده لا يكفي، وأنه يجب أن يهتدي بنور الوحي،

بينما كانط اعتبر أن للعقل حدودًا لا يمكنه تجاوزها، وأنه لا يستطيع إدراك “الشيء في ذاته”، بل فقط “الشيء كما يبدو لنا”.

العقل إذًا، ليس مطلقًا، بل هو محدود بحدود التجربة واللغة، لكنه رغم ذلك، هو أثمن ما يملكه الإنسان.

ليس لأنه يوصله إلى الحقيقة دائمًا، بل لأنه يُعلّمه كيف يسعى إليها، ويجعله مسؤولًا عن اختياراته.

العقل والحرية

لا عقل بلا حرية، ولا حرية بلا عقل.

فحين يُسلِم الإنسان عقله لغيره، يموت ككائن مفكر، حتى وإن ظل حيًا جسديًا.

والعقل الذي لا يشك، لا يفكر.

والذي لا يتواضع، يضل.

والذي لا يتصل بالقلب، يتحول إلى آلة.

#The mind is an instrument of perception and understanding, with which we distinguish between right and wrong, and with which we go beyond the limits of instinct to reach wisdom.

But at that time, it is only a mirror in which the soul is reflected, if the soul is dark, the mind is perverted; and if it is pure, the mind becomes the gate of light.

Philosophy has differed in the essence of mind:

Aristotle saw him as a thinking essence, independent from the body,

And Descartes made it the basis of existence: “I think, therefore I exist.”

As for Ghazali, consider that brain alone is not enough, and that he must be guided by the light of revelation,

While he considered that the mind had limits it could not overcome, that it could not perceive “the thing in itself”, but only “the thing as it appears to us”.

The mind, then, is not absolutely, is limited to the limits of experience and language, but it is, nonetheless, the most valuable thing a man possesses.

Not because it always leads him to the truth, but because it teaches him how to seek it, and makes him responsible for his choices.

sanity and freedom

No mind without freedom, and no freedom without mind.

When a person surrenders his mind to another person, he dies as a thinking being, even if he remains physically alive.

And the mind that does not doubt, does not think.

He who does not humble himself, perishes.

That which doesn’t connect to the heart, becomes a machine.
